Maison de Fleurs by Miya is a floral design + botanical art studio in New York City.
For centuries, people have naturally incorporated flower-picking, flower-decorating, and flower-loving into their lives. At Maison de Fleurs, we believe that it is our duty to care for flowers in their final cycle of life, maximizing their power and using them to their full potential. This power can transform a space like magic, providing a gentle yet powerful stimulus to all five senses.
Our daily mission is to showcase the beauty and fragility of both flowers and plants in a style that suits each customer while also considering the most sustainable ways to enjoy them.
Service
In addition to servicing our growing list of personal clients, our current work includes providing floral design for photo-shoots, pop-up shops, weekly & monthly subscription services as well as weekly arrangements for restaurants, hotels and offices throughout New York City.
About Miya
Maison de Fleurs by Miya was founded in 2013 by Miya Takama, a floral designer based in New York City. Born and raised in Japan, Miya grew up in a home only footsteps away from her family’s fabric dying factory where she developed a love for color at an early age. After studying fashion design and working briefly as a designer in Japan, Miya moved to New York City where she would begin her apprenticeship and career as a florist.
Memories of her childhood and the colors that surrounded it can be seen incorporated into her flower works.
